As the Actuarial Manager, you will manage project teams in the delivery of consulting services involving complex mathematical analyses and actuarial modeling. Main Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Execute creative problem solving and critical thinking on the job

  • Mentor and develop an elite team of consulting actuaries

  • Lead negotiations, presentations and client relationships

  • Develop and deploy predictive data models on large data sets

  • Perform quantitative analysis on Actuarial, financial, utilization and costs data

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with our broader teams

  • Design and support ad-hoc analytics where needed

  • Projects could range from actuarial pricing, reserving/Solvency II reporting, predictive analytics, model development, trend forecasting, population health management, value-based contracting


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Extensive Actuarial/Analytical/Data Science experience

  • Experience of Project leadership/management

  • Experience leveraging traditional and non-traditional data assets

  • Experience interacting with senior management and providing work direction to a team

  • Expertise working with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs in MS Excel

  • Assess internal data and processes to determine opportunities for application of advanced analytics for broad division-wide analytic usage

  • Support development of leading edge solutions and propose recommendations and strategies to solve commercial opportunities in unique ways that return optimal value to our business

  • Ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our Dublin or Letterkenny office is required


Preferred Assets:


  • Experience in performing statistical and regression analyses

  • Experience with predictive modeling

  • Experience with Solvency II Reporting

  • Advanced level of proficiency using SQL, R, SAS, Azure Databricks, Python, .net

  • Experience in large file transfers and/or manipulations

  • Experience in handling various file formats (JSON, csv, xls, delimited text files)

  • Experience and/or exposure in dealing with health care claims experience (i.e. understanding of costs, expected claims, diagnosis codes, procedure codes)

  • Associateship or an Fellowship designation through IFoA or SOA
